- SENIORS: Click here for all updated information regarding scholarships and senior project.
- FRESHMEN: Any freshmen that would be interested in serving on Mayor Johnny Dupree's Youth Advisory Council this year are asked to see Ms. Stein in the Career Center for more details. You would be required to participate in monthly community service projects, as well as be advisors to the Mayor on youth-related issues. Please sign up by this Friday, August 29.
- The Library needs your help! We accept the following used book donations: teen fiction, Christian fiction, adult fiction with appropriate content, nonfiction research, and old magazine. We also take Boxtops for Education, old cell phones, and printer cartridges.
- Senior Girls: USM is looking for ladies to volunteer as assistants in the new luxury suites at M.M. Roberts Stadium. There will be a training session Wednesday, August 27 at 4:15 PM. If you are interested in becoming a "Southern Suite-ie," see Ms. Stein in the Career Center for details.
- The OGHS Library would like you to join Friends of the Library at Oak Grove High School! We have many goals to help our library become a 21st Century Library Media Center and you can be a part of making that happen. If you are interested in joining Friends of the Library, please contact Mrs. Becky Sanders at ext. 6043
- "Acosta ACT Short Course" is a 5-week ACT Prep Course offered by Dr. Lanny Acosta. Classes will be held from 6 - 9 PM beginning Tuesday, September 23 and continue for 5 weeks at Sacred Heart Catholic High School in Hattiesburg. The cost is $500, with the opportunity to retake the course for free. Forms are available in the Career Center or online at www.improveyouractscore.com.
- If you have an interest in knowing more about Tulane University, you are invited to attend "Tulane Comes to You" on Tuesday, September 9, 2008, at the Mariott Jackson in Jackson, MS. For more details, call 1.800.873.WAVE.
- Meet the Warriors will be held August 28, 2008 at 6:00 PM. Make plans to come out and meet the 2008-2009 Warrior Football Team!
- The Lamar County Technology Center has openings for the following programs: Electronics, Business & Computer Technology, Automotive Technology. If you are interested in being in one of these programs this year, see the counselors today!
- Education Services Foundation will sponsor "College Connection Mississippi Tour 2008" in the Hattiesburg area Monday, September 22, 2008 at the Jackie Dole Sherrill Community Center 6:300 - 7:30 PM. This event is for 10th - 12th graders and their parents and you may sign up on the ESF web site, www.esfweb.com, or by calling 1.800.986.4322.

- SCHOOL PICTURES:
The 2008-2009 Annuals / Yearbooks are ALL COLOR! The books will be sold August 14 at PTO Open House - cost $60. We will begin selling the books again in September / October. Place your order this fall. We can only afford to order a few "extra" books, and the cost of the annual will increase to $70 in the spring.
School pictures will be taken August 27, 2008. Everyone will have their picture taken this day. These pictures are used in the annual and for making ID's. Remember the annual will be ALL COLOR!
Senior Portraits will be September 23. Sign up for a time outstide of room A119. Pictures will be taken in the band hall.
Yearbook Baby Ads go on sale in September. Date TBA.
- One page ad = $200, 1/2 page ad = $150, and 1/4 ad = $75.
- Only one person per ad.
- Baby pictures must be submitted on a professionally scanned CD. We can not guarantee picture quality in the annual for photos that were scanned on a home computer.
